As a content specialist, my job is focused primarily on, well…creating content. My day-to-day is focused on creating new content and executing on new ideas I or my team members have.
This past week I created branding for a new weekly newsletter. I wrote three summer bucket list guides for our core market content email blasts. I also did some keyword research for future blog posts.
My boss wrote some copy for a newsletter surrounding the idea of “snackable” parenting news. This would be sent out to our current email list and people would have the opportunity to subscribe. We decided to call the newsletter “The Morning Snack” so I mocked up some quick branding imagery and a logo.
This week was focused on bringing in revenue. We needed to find a way to get some money in the door since bookings and activity revenue have been down this past month. We created a summer promotion where new members could purchase 99 credits for $99 dollars. This campaign has been successful in bringing in more revenue for the company.
Surrounding the promotion, I wanted to create some more value for the new customers and show them what they could use their credits towards on Pearachute’s site. Therefore, I created a summer bucket list for each our core markets (Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco). This content was added to the promotional emails going out to each market. Check out the summer buckets lists here.
I did some keyword research using the Moz SEO tool. This tool helped to plan ahead some blog content that could get more traffic and would be easy to rank on google. Here is a spreadsheet of some of the low hanging fruit I want to target in the upcoming weeks.
